Bonding with my Mom

Well this past Tuesday night I got a flat tire on the way to a wedding appointment with my mom. Afterwards, my mom and I changed the flat to the donut! It was great to see that we can change a tire and I happened to be wearing the best shoes for this, my clogs.

SUCCESS!

5 Week Update

What??!!!?? We are only 5 weeks away!!!! I can't believe it. Scott and I (well let's be honest - mostly me) keep trucking along with the wedding plans. To be fair though, I have not given Scott many tasks but when I do he gets them done very quickly so he is very helpful when I need him to be. The invitations are out and now I am moving on to making the programs, place cards and favors! Yikes, I might need more help. Here are some random pictures of my nieces from the past couple weeks.

With a Little Help From My Friends

For whatever reason the pictures are getting cut off. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know! In the mean time, I will just leave it up so that there is something new to look at.
So Leah and Annie came over on Saturday to help me with Step 2 of my invitation making. I am very thankful for their help because they saved me several hours of doing it all myself.
Here I am still working on Step 1

If any of you are big fans of the show Friends you should remember the scene where Rachel helps Monica send out her invitations. In the scene Rachel waves her glass of red wine over the invitations as a joke. Here are Leah and Annie recreating the Friends scene. They did a great job. Notice my classy wine glasses :)

A before picture

Here I am critiquing their work. I am happy to report that most of them passed.

THANKS FOR THE HELP LEAH AND ANNIE!!!!!!

My life is busy right now!

Well, I just tried to upload a lot of pictures that I have been storing up since the last time I posted but my batteries decided to die on me. So you will have to settle with a post with no pictures. I know it is not as fun but the pictures will follow....I promise.

I have been MIA lately due to several things going on in my life right now. Here they are in no particular order.....

My niece Sonja was born
I am planning a wedding that is almost just 2 months away!!!!!!!!!
I moved into our new place in Arlington Heights mid-September and I am still not unpacked!
Scott and I have gone on IKEA trips for furniture
I found an amazing furniture place in Chicago and bought a couple items
Small Group
A Young Adult Retreat
Monthly get-togethers with my wonderful friends and husbands
Fun fall Activities
Scott's 28th Birthday
Church
Sunday night Desperate Housewives viewing with my family
Personal Training every Monday
Marriage Counseling
Bears Games
Work, work and more work (did I mention WORK!)

The list goes on but that gives you a taste for my life right now.

Finally!!!!!!!!!

So this past Thursday Scott and I finally became homeowners!!!! This is something that I have wanted to accomplish since college so I am thrilled to finally reach this goal. I also am thrilled with the fact that I am not going to have to move for years!!!! I think since I started college back in 2008 I have moved around 21 times. 21 times in 8 years!!!!!!!!! Slightly ridiculous. So I am looking forward to not having my mail sent to my parents house any more and staying put. I am also really excited that it is our (Scott and I) home and where we will begin our family. Very exciting and it means the wedding is getting closer!!!

Our first dinner....Jimmy Johns. Yum!
