The newest addition to our family.....

I would like you to meet our new kitten! Isn't she so cute. My mom and I picked her up at the Heartland animal shelter today. We are not sure what we want to name her yet. A cute Swedish name for sure but which one is what we have to figure out. We have thought of Bri, Elka and Frida so far. Do you guys have any suggestions?? We have had enough Flickas so that is out of the running. She is so playful and very cuddly. We love her already!

Here are some funny pictures of Gwen at church. Oink! Oink!

8 Months.....

Well today is my 8 monthaversary with Scott Bailey! Is that the paper anniversary? Anyways, I can honestly say that it has been the best 8 months of my life. I was a happy person before we met that fateful Good Friday night 8 months ago but since that day I have had a sense of completion that I can't explain other than saying that I have found my better half. I have never been treated with more respect or authentic love by someone in my life. We have such a great tome together and I could not be happier with him right now. I look forward to what our future has in store for us. So here are a few pictures from over the past 8 months.

I know, I know...there has been too much time between my posts. While I am not trying to give an excuse this is the reason why. Before I moved closer to work I would eat lunch at my desk and use the Internet to upload pictures and create posts. However, since I live so close to work now I always go home for lunch and only have access to the Internet while at work or when I am at home. So that is my excuse and I promise to be better in the future :)

With that out of the way, Gwen and I had a delightful morning at the Aquarium this past Friday. She took a special liking to a yellow eel in the big tank and the snapping turtle. Random! Here are some pictures from the morning.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I swear she is laughing in this picture but it looks like she is crying.

So I am not sure if I am the only one who caught this on the news last week but this farmer in England has taken 8 or 9 years to breed these mini pigs in hopes that they will become the next big pet. I want one so bad! Look how cute they are!!! Maybe some day. I don't think my current roommates would appreciate it so I will be patient.

Ok. So I know this is pathetic but I said that I would post the pictures from the rest of my labor day weekend so here they are. Now that I live so close to work I go home every day for lunch so I no longer have my lunch hour to work on my posts since I do not have a computer with internet at my apartment.
Scott and I joined my cousin and her friends for an afternoon at the races at Arlington race track. We went to celebrate Kristin's birthday and I had never been. It was a lot of fun and Scott and I were really into it. We studied every horse between each race and at the end of the day I broke even and Scott made $15!
Saturday, September 1st
My cousins and I. The birthday girl, Kristin, is in the middle and Katie is to the right.Scott and I
And their off!

Then on Monday, September 3rd, Scott and I went to the Cubs game. They ended up losing but we had a great time anyways. How can you have a bad time at Wrigley Field?

And that is the end to our Labor day weekend extravaganza!!!!!!

This labor day weekend has had a fun start. Thursday night, Scott and I went to the Bears game with his dad and wife. Our seats were great! We were in the 15th row at the North East end zone! Even though they lost it is always a good time going to a Bears game. Plus, it was pre-season so it didn't matter anyways. No pictures though, sorry. I forgot my camera. Next time.

Then Scott and I took Friday off from work and spent the day at the Brookfield zoo. Below are some pictures from the day. It was a beautiful and was not that crowded. A perfect zoo outing! More to come on the rest of our weekend. Stay tuned....
