Butterflies, Babysitting and Beach Time!

Addison and Caroline love to dress-up as butterflies from time to time.  It is always entertaining to watch them running around pretending.  They always have so much fun!

Addison.....she looks so sweet here

Addison making funny faces in the mirror.  I love when I catch her doing this.

Caroline checking out her wings

We babysat for Lucia over the summer and I was very curious to see how Addison and Caroline would act around her because they were still very shy and nervous around their cousins.  They ended up being very helpful and wanting to be very involved.  I was very much pleasantly surprised :)

They brought their chairs over so they could entertain and look at Lucia.

Giving Lucia toys, and more toys, and more toys, etc...  Lucia is looking at my thinking "can you help a girl out?"

And to cap it off, Caroline is giving Lucia her "blanket" which was really a burp cloth.  We will have to work on not putting it right over her face.

Addison and Caroline insisted on helping me put Lucia to bed.  Caroline even ran back downstairs to get Lucia her "blanket."  It was the cutest thing that Caroline thought she needed it to sleep.  It was so thoughtful.

We live a mile north of Arlington Lake which has been a great place for running (I did most of my half marathon training there), walking and going to the park.  There is also a little sandy beach area but you are not allowed to swim in the lake so that makes this beach perfect for toddlers who just like to splash around.

There were lots of ducks at the beach this day.  Addison and Caroline loved watching them.

Running to find a perfect spot in the grass for our picnic dinner.

Picnic dinner by the lake with your family.  Does it get any better!

Then a bunch of geese (only half of them are pictured) came up from the lake and walked right passed us.  Addison and Caroline of course loved this too.
